IBM’s Curam Software solution, part of Watson Health business is looking for talented software engineers ready to pursue the challenge of learning the Curam Solution and new technologies and pursue problems with direct customer impact to usher in the next era of social service/health programs for government agencies.
You will join a team working with state government agency customers to meet business objectives and IT project implementations while solving complex problems and changing standards.
You will learn our software product and technical aspects of customizing & implementing in an enterprise environment using Java, J2EE, and other web application technologies and tools. As a team we collaborate and but work independently.
You will interact with clients and systems integration partners at project sites as we push technology forward.
Develop, code and unit test customization
Build functional and technical designs for extensions and configurations including workflow, eligibility rules, User Interface (UI) and batch processing.
Acquire and strive to master skills in the Curam software suite, and other IBM tools and government systems to achieve client goals and visions
Generate and maintain positive working relationships with fellow employees, partners and client staff and promote IBM's technical credibility as a trusted partner.
Work with senior developers to learn and use Rational Software Architect, Eclipse and other tools to implement Curam solutions.
Continuously expand your skills in technology implementations including mobile application development, reporting and analytics, data migration, web services and application security.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related
At least 1 year experience in an hands-on computer related coding role, such as: developer, Software engineer, application programmer, technical consultant, etc
Demonstrated ability and knowledge in Application development/Coding in OO (Object Oriented) programming (such as JAVA, JEE/ J2EE, C++)
Proven successful communication abilities in interacting with varying team members, and stakeholders discussing technologies and solutions
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
2 years plus experience in a software application development, programming related role, such as a developer, software engineer, application programmer, etc
Web related technologies and tools (such as XML, UML, WSDL, REST, Eclipse, etc)
Basic knowledge in UML
Basic knowledge in relational databases (DB2 or Oracle) and SQL
