What You’ll Get to Do:
Design, procurement, manufacturing and integration of experimental C4ISR systems, to include vehicle installation kits, cable assemblies, power systems, enclosures and packing.
Guide drafting personnel in producing engineering data packages as well as support development of technical documentation for test solutions.
Assisting with the development of schedules and ensuring design projects are completed on time and on budget.
Providing guidance to less experienced engineers and design personnel and instruct technicians on performing work in accordance with the correct specifications.
More About the Role:
Provides engineering support to the Command Power and Integration RAPID Cell,
Provides services that include prototype design and integration of experimental-prototype C4ISR systems on various platforms to include tactical ground vehicles, aircraft, watercraft, towers, etc.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Active Secret clearance.
BS Mechanical Engineering is Required- MS Mechanical Engineer or Systems is Desired
Five or more years of relevant experience
Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science etc..
Working experience with product lifecycle management (PLM), finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
Knowledge of engineering analysis tools (ANSYS, CREO Simulate, or similar)
Proficiency with 3D solid design using SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, or similar design tools. Preferably CREO Parametric
Experience in the design and manufacturing of sheet metal components, steel and aluminum welded assemblies, CNC machined components, and additively manufactured components
Creativity and analytical skills with the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with the ability to develop solutions from an idea to final product
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience with military specifications and standards for military support equipment such as MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-1366.
Strong understanding of electrical engineering and experience in vehicle power system design
Experience in thermal analysis of components and integrated designs
Mathematical computing and analysis tools knowledge (Matlab, Excel, LabView etc.)
Experience operating and maintaining additive manufacturing machinery
