AutoZone Associate SEO Specialist in Corporate Office, United States


The purpose of this position is to play a supporting role in the crafting and implementation of search engine optimization strategies. Since it is an entry-level position, you don’t have to have immense amounts of experience, but you do have to have a fundamental understanding of how search engines work, and a knowledge of which ranking techniques are acceptable by Google’s Webmaster Guidelines.


  • Perform ongoing keyword research on a variety of subjects

  • Capable of integrating target keywords and other SEO specific aspects into various types of content

  • Manage multiple, strategic link building campaigns

  • Review and implement on-site optimization changes

  • Apply on-page optimization by uploading new content and filling out page titles, meta descriptions, and image alt tags

  • Able to complete a Web Release QA list

  • Conduct A/B tests to help improve conversion funnels and user flow

Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree (coursework in marketing and/or advertising a plus) or 2+ years of search engine optimization

  • Accountability for hitting company targets and personal growth goals

  • Able to review, analyze, and implement changes that optimize copy and landing pages for high search engine rankings

  • Stay up-to-date on search engine algorithm changes and SEO best practices

  • Self-motivated, problem solver, with the ability to work independently

  • Must be a fast learner and have a desire to learn new things

  • Willingness to wear many different hats

  • Works well in a team environment and under pressure

  • Familiar with a variety of SEO/SEM tools: Google Adwords, Moz, Ahrefs

  • Have a basic working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate-Advanced Excel skills)

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Attention to detail with solid grammar and spelling skills

  • Fundamentals of SEO & competitive analysis

  • Ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline driven environment

  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects
