AECOM is seeking a Superintendent, Mechanical at our Sarnia Project located in Corruna, Ontario. This is a 5/2 rotation.
The Superintendent, Mechanical is responsible for the organization, direction, supervision and coordination of Non Routine Maintenance activities at our Sarnia Project as delineated in the applicable PEP’s, Site Specific Safety Plan and PXP. Under limited supervision, monitors and directs the work of subordinate supervisors or foremen. May function as senior Non Routine Maintenance supervisor at small Non Routine Maintenance sites. Responsible for supervising and directing one or more mechanical disciplines turns strategies into action.
Responsible for work procedures, scheduling, cost control, project specification conformity, establishment of manpower levels, monitoring and implementation of safety programs, project conformance to national, local and/or company building codes and the maintenance of accurate records.
Responsible for the satisfactory conduct of all Non Routine Maintenance operations and task accomplishment in an economical, efficient and timely manner on a project.
Monitor craft performance relative to budget, schedules and deadlines.
Monitor manpower utilization, effectiveness and productivity.
Facilitate the efficient use of personnel and equipment.
Implement and enforces work rules.
Coordinate movement and use of equipment and supplies with Material Management.
Requisitions tools, materials and equipment in accordance with established procedures and necessary lead times.
Prepare and review plans, specifications, drawings and schedules to determine work phases and work priorities.
Determine and recommend solutions to Non Routine Maintenance and architectural discrepancies.
Inspect fieldwork to evaluate Non Routine Maintenance progress, efficiency of operation and cost control.
Responsible for overall project workmanship and goal attainment.
This position will be required to drive a vehicle on behalf of AECOM and therefore will require the candidate to submit a satisfactory driver's abstract for review.
High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
4 years experience in Non Routine Maintenance supervision including 2 years experience in the Assistant Superintendent position or demonstrated equivalent.
Piping experience is essential.
