  • JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

  • Provides support to the Health Education Regional HUB that seeks to improve health outcomes through coordination of health education programing in the Linn, Lincoln and Benton County Region with a primary focus to create better access to under-served populations.

  • DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

  • The SHS Health Education Team provides technical leadership, advice and support for community and patient health education programming. The team responds to regional needs with information, resources, education or programs and supports the changing health needs of our communities with a focus on physical and mental health. The team works with experts in the development of class content and deploys evidence based training programs for personal engagement and self-management.

*This position is grant funded and is limited in duration. *

  • EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

  • One (1) of the following required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Education, Health Promotion or a related area.

  • Associate's degree in a related field plus two (2) years healthcare related experience.

  • Four (4) years related healthcare experience.

  • Experience or training in basic computer software programs required.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.

  • Experience or training in the following preferred:

  • Health promotion/education.

  • Electronic Health Record systems.
