Oracle Data Science Cloud team is seeking a QA Engineer for our product

engineering team. You will own product quality by driving QA practices,

automating across the stack, and anticipating a variety of stress factors and

developing tests for them.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with product managersand developers to create test plans

  • Develop test suites forREST and GraphQL APIs, as well as automated functional tests using CucumberSelenium/WebDriver

  • Develop test suites forload, performance, security, and resiliency testing

  • Document test results inJIRA with browser and server logs, screenshots, and clear steps on how toreproduce defects

  • Summarize test cycleprogress and build stability with regular QA reports

  • Perform manual testing forpaths that are not yet automated

  • Maintain test scripts andQA related documentation in Confluence

  • Coordinate deployments andtest cycles on various test environments with the release manager

  • Have 5 or more years ofexperience as QA or software engineer in test and you love to code

  • Have LinkedInrecommendations or references who vouch for your professionalism, attention todetail, and pride in craftsmanship

  • Anxious to debug and assistin the resolution of defects

  • Have experience coding withRuby, Node, Python or Go and committing to version control

  • Experience using Git on thecommand line

  • Have experience with toolslike Selenium/WebDriver, Postman, CURL, Locust, JMeter, Gatling, or Chaosmonkey

  • Have experience or exposureto the Docker ecosystem, including Kubernetes

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
