Oracle Senior Product Manager in Cupertino, California
Work as part of a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.
As a member of the product development division, you will define product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure(OCI) is building a next generation Infrastructure-as-a-Service that supports the most demanding mission-critical customer requirements, operating at cloud scale to provide a secure, distributed, multi-tenant cloud environment. This role will be located in Oracle's downtown Seattle Offices.
This is your opportunity to be a core part of the team that defines and delivers exciting new capabilities on OCI. We are seeking a candidate with strong product management experience in platform level products or services.
As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications, suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Other responsibilities include development of new concepts and definition and synthesis of business requirements from internal and external stakeholders, writing product specifications and driving project milestones from design to release.
You will lead and coordinate efforts between cross-functional teams to develop best-in-class capabilities on OCI. You will be expected to assess appropriate trade-offs to optimize customer experience, time-to-market, and to clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal stakeholders and remote teams.
The right candidate will possess a strong Product Management background, an ability to work backwards from the customers and will have experience launching multiple customer-facing products and features. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done. Maturity, strong business judgment, a customer-centric mindset, negotiation skills, ability to influence and analytical talent are essential to succeed in this role.
Minimum Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science, or equivalent.MBA preferred.
5 years of experience as hands-on product manager for customer-facing enterprise products
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data from disparate sources in order to drive conclusions and recommendations
Technically deep and business savvy to interface with teams of all levels and disciplines within an organization, from engineers to senior leadership
Attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
Ability to think both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working on a public cloud service, and in-depth knowledge of IaaS/PaaS industry and competitive capabilities
Able to engage, communicate, and manage customer CxO relationships
Responsibilities:
Evangelizing product strategy and vision across all of OCI
Developing detailed & crisp product definitions, and business requirements for internal service architecture
Working directly with key customers to understand their requirements, decipher blockers, and translate the feedback into actionable insight for your engineering team
Understanding markets trends, and competitive landscape in depth
