Eaton Corporation Data Configurator in Cwmbran, United Kingdom
Reporting to the Data & Configuration Lead under the PLM, the Data Configurator will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of product data through PDH and SAP, whilst project managing Engineering Changes for the Fire platform across key business functions (Product Management, Sales, Supply Chain, R&D, Manufacturing and Finance).
• Responsible for product configuration, creating and configuring materials, boms and routings as part of new product development (NPD), product variant, extension and change requests. (ECM).
• Project manage engineering changes from request through to implementation ensuring strict deadlines are met. Managing and setting customer expectation accordingly.
• Coordinate engineering change activities across multifunctional disciplines, chair meetings and communicate actions effectively.
• Provide weekly engineering change status updates and progress reports, highlighting critical issues preventing the delivery or launch of product to market.
•Uphold data quality, creating and maintaining complete & accurate product data within SAP and PDH (Master Data, BOM, Routing, Costings, Weights, Dimensions, EAN and ETIM data).
•Acts as product data and configuration liaison on all issues for a given product range within the Fire platform.
•Participate in New Product Development projects, facilitating the introduction of new product designs to market.
•Investigate and resolve daily ERP data issues, orders & customer concerns.
•Originate product artwork for labels, leaflets & tiles.
•Basic understanding of electronic/mechanical manufacturing processes & engineering principles.
•Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator) and Microsoft Office (Excel).
•SAP ERP or similar system.
•Product Lifecycle Management.
