Job Description

CACI has openings for Software Engineer/Analysts at our Dahlgren, VA location. These individuals will provide Software Engineering and programming support using various toolsets and programming languages, technical support in software requirement analysis, and designing and developing, testing, and maintaining software models and programs.

Duties and Responsibilities

Providing technical support in an engineering environment related to Computer Science, Mathematics, Physical Science, Operation Research, Statistics or Software Engineering;

Developing programs in higher level computer languages

Using structured programming methods, large scale general purpose computers, and personal computers in Windows environment;

Provide Software development in a UNIX/Linux environment using standard UNIX/Linux tools and utilities

Provide Unified Modeling Language (UML) in designing/documenting a software intensive object oriented system

Developing large multi-process/multi-threaded and network centric software applications, software intensive Weapon, Command or Intelligence Systems and software intensive real time weapon systems

Required Qualifications:

Must have a SECRET level security clearance or higher

A Bachelor's of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline

Experience in one or more of the following computer languages: Ada 95, C, C++, Java, PERL, (SQL),or Pro*C hosted on both Unix/Linux and Microsoft systems

Desired Qualifications:

Experience in Java EE

Experience in the use of an Oracle RDBMS


Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, and two to four years of related work experience.


Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
