  • Data Management and Insights (DMI)* is transforming the way that Wells Fargo uses and manages data. Our work enables Wells Fargo to empower and inform our team members, deliver exceptional experiences for our customers, and meet the elevated expectations of our regulators. The team is responsible for designing the future data environment, defining data governance and oversight, and partnering with technology to operate the data infrastructure for the company. This team also provides next generation analytic insights to drive business strategies and help meet our commitment to satisfy our customers’ financial needs.

The * Data Domain Quality Assurance Lead* will be a member of the Domain Advisory Team in the Data Domain & Privacy Management (DDPM) group in DMI. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing approaches for performing quality assurance reviews (“advisory reviews”) of completed data governance deliverables across the data domain construct (e.g., data dictionaries, data quality controls assessments), to ensure adherence with published DDPM guidance and the company’s Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) Policy. This role will partner closely with other DDPM quality assurance analysts, domain managers, and execution teams, as well as partner with EDG and Enterprise Risk, as needed.

  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:*

  • Develop and maintain processes and approach for performing “advisory reviews”, as part of the broader quality assurance process, of key application deliverables (e.g., data dictionaries, data quality controls assessments) and other data domain artifacts, as needed

  • Lead execution of “advisory reviews”, socialize results, and escalate findings as necessary to ensure resolution of identified gaps

  • Maintain data dictionary and data quality controls assessment quality assurance checklist criteria and ensure alignment with other quality assurance steps and operating model

  • Serve as a data domain, metadata management and data quality SME for DDPM

  • Build and maintain relationships with key partner teams within and outside DMI (e.g., EDG, Enterprise Risk)

  • Socialize, incorporate feedback, obtain required approvals and communicate new or changed quality assurance processes in DDPM

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or project management

  • 4+ years of data analysis, experience, data management experience, or a combination of both

  • 2+ years of Metadata experience

  • 3+ years of data management experience including data modeling, data integrity and data quality

Desired Qualifications:

  • Customer service focus with the ability to actively listen, elicit information, comprehend customer issues/needs, and recommend solutions

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of financial industry compliance requirements

  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization; including senior leadership/management

  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities

  • Knowledge and understanding of BCBS-239 principles

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
