Responsibilities

As a Director, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively lead the practise by setting strategy, drive the development of new business in the market, and provide technical advice across disciplines

  • Building strong networks within the firm to spot and capitalise on opportunities to get involved in projects that others are leading across a number of different business units and sectors

  • Identifying and discussing key issues with our clients to identify potential opportunities

  • Responsibility for a majority of day to day client communications

  • Responsibility to shape and deliver various projects that exceed the expectations of our clients and our own assignment quality criteria

  • Manage and deliver large projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team

  • Responsibility for management of engagement financials

  • Helping to grow and develop our team through hands on training and coaching

A career in our Center of Enablement practice, will provide you with the opportunity to redesign, redefine, and redeploy how PwC uses data and analytics to be a strategic asset across the enterprise. You will focus on assisting internal teams as they incorporate increased automation, machine learning, data & analytics, Open Source technologies into their processes to deliver better quality output and contribute more strategically to organizational decision making.

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities as a team leader, emphasizing the following areas:

  • Leading proactively by setting application development framework and API strategy, drive the development of software within the Firm, and provide technical advice across disciplines;

  • Building networks within the Firm to spot and capitalize on opportunities to reuse proven intellectual property to accelerate software development and remove friction from implementation of software solutions;

  • Identifying and discussing key issues with Center of Enablement teams to identify potential opportunities for knowledge sharing and collaboration;

  • Shaping and delivering various software development activities that exceed the expectations of our clients and our own assignment quality criteria;

  • Managing the Application Development and API workstream team as it works with development teams to improve internally developed software frameworks and APIs; and,

  • Helping to grow and develop our team through hands on training and coaching.

Demonstrates thought leader-level knowledge with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in the following areas:

  • Engaging with technology specialists, development staff, and technology team leadership;

  • Communicating to team leadership, business sponsors, and quality review groups to effectively and efficiently explain software development principles tempered by an understanding of business and risk management;

  • Delivering large global development projects as a developer and as a project or technical lead;

  • Developing strategies and road maps to guide software framework and API usage within the Center of Enablement;

  • Leading a team of technologists to execute the software framework and API strategy;

  • Working with development teams, compliance & legal teams, and security teams to ensure software development frameworks and APIs adhere to standards;

  • Developing and maintaining metrics that demonstrate progress;

  • Working with the following software development languages or frameworks: Angular, React, .NET Standard & ASP.NET Core, Node, Python, and R.; and,

  • Working with RESTful APIs, JSON & JSON Web Tokens, Swagger, Azure API Management, Layer 7 API Management, and OAUTH.
