FSI - Mergers & Acquisitions Transaction Execution Manager

As the Manager ofM&A transactions you will lead and deliver components of large, complex client engagements which identify, design, implement M&A transaction operating models and overall integration / carve out strategies for Deloitte s clients in the Financial Services industry.

The Banking and Capital Markets sector servesUniversal and Regional Banks, Capital Markets / Securities Firms and Payment Networks with US Operations. The team concentrates on delivering customer insights, core growth and digital strategies, operational transformation, human capital and technology modernization services to bank executives. We Help clients with regulatory reform, technological modernization, customer insights, competitive dynamics, and market growth opportunities.

M&A | Restructuring and Cost Transformation

Our mandate is to enable our clients ability to grow, optimize, and fundamentally change the nature of their business and competitive position. We do this via M&A, divestiture, and restructuring services from beginning to end.

Our Offering enables pre-deal and post-deal integration, divestiture, and major restructuring/cost transformation activities to achieve/exceed deal value, synergy targets, or strategic cost takeout objectives.

M&A Service Delivery Experience should include the following

Experience in integration / divestiture / JV standup execution is a requirement, as is a strong background in providing comprehensive, integrated solutions to the Banking & Capital Markets, Insurance, and / or Investment Management and Real Estate sectors.

Experience planning and implementing integration and separation projects as the result of M&A activity proven experience identifying effective M&A solutions to meet key client needs and delivering high-quality outcomes

Ability to work with clients on Day One readiness and execution; understanding of cross-functional and functional coordination

Proficiency executing synergy targeting and realization

Understanding of Financial Service Industry including market players, drivers and trends

Experience conducting operating model fine-tuning and organizational design

Qualifications:

Must have a minimum of 4 years M&A Service Delivery

Bachelor s degree required with MBA preferred; must have ability to travel 80%-100%

Must have M&A Delivery experience in the Financial Services Industry (Banking / Capital Markets, Insurance and / or Investment Management and Real Estate sectors) - either through direct employment or in an advisory / portfolio offering capacity

Ideal role / background profiles include - Advisory / Strategic capacity (e.g. Deal Execution / Operations Transformation capacity at a Portfolio Company in the Financial Services space, M&A Consulting for the Financial Services industry) or in a Corporate Development / Strategy function at a Financial Services company

Additional Qualifications:

Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS PowerPoint, MS Excel)

Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment

Apply practical experience with communications, culture, and change management; ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments

Experience with staff development and eagerness to mentor junior practitioners
