CBRE SDET Quality Engineer in Dallas, Texas
We are looking for an QA Automation Engineer who will be building automated tests for CI/CD pipelines. This individual must possess the desire and drive to drive quality in the process and product. A successful candidate will also be able to influence the development teams to write better testable code.
The individual must have an eye for detail and be able to quickly understand the interaction of a complex system and be able to reason on how one would validate functionality. They must also be comfortable working closely with developers to understand the expected behavior and provide feedback and recommendations to improve testing.
This individual will define testing strategies and implement automated tests in an existing framework. Other testing may include performance or webapi testing.
An ideal candidate should have experience with Selenium WebDriver, Jasmine, Mocks, BDD or TDD.
The individual should be comfortable working in a Scrum Team, understand how to translate acceptance criteria, and validate production deployments.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a related field of work or equivalent work experience. Requires technical and business knowledge in multiple disciplines/processes. Typically has 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience.
Technical certifications in the specialty area a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
Strong understanding of enterprise system design, testing methodologies.
Experience with Azure, AWS a plus.
Familiar with various design and architectural patterns, cloud architecture a plus.
Experience testing database schemas that represent and support business processes
Creating configuration, build, and test scripts for Continuous Integration environments
Experience implementing automated testing platforms, unit tests, TDD, and mocks.
Experience using TFS as a source control repository and mechanism for implementing Agile processes such as user stories and bugs.
Experience with writing and testing HTML5 and CSS3
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.
