CBRE Senior Enterprise Data Platform Technology Manager in Dallas, Texas

JOB SUMMARY

Directly oversees a team of technology professionals and projects focusing on end-to-end delivery of an enterprise integration platform using Agile and Lean methodologies; including design, development and support of integration platform. Manages multiple projects or initiatives. Assists in the development of platform strategies. Proactively identifies areas for improvement and initiates the appropriate action.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

:

  • Manages, coaches, and trains a team of Digital & Technology staff and oversees multiple projects.

  • Responsible for developing and executing multiple, simultaneous project plans. The scope of efforts to support enterprise level integrations.

  • Lead analysis, architecture, design and development of Integration solutions delivery.

  • Lead a team of developers in delivering enterprise scale and complex API/micro-service solutions.

  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to define & build short and long-term integration platform capabilities and roadmaps to the different integration strategies.

  • Works with internal and external teams to deliver updates, resolve issues, and manage the product lifecycles.

  • Owns the product backlog, facilitates discussions, and user story grooming.

  • Develop requirements documents and use cases for new product features working with stake holders.

  • Contribute forward-thinking innovation and ideas to projects that introduce new technology and processes to increase business value and improve end-user experience

  • Serves as the digital & technology liaison for the area of responsibility, primarily for internal clients.

  • Documents procedures and standards and performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

:

Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models’ behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Working knowledge of database management principles and various data architectures.

  • Knowledge of data structures, transport protocols, data mapping technics.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and metadata skills.

  • Experience delivering messaging solutions integrating ERP, Legacy and Cloud applications.

  • Experience with open source technologies (one or more of the following: C++, Java, Python, GoLang, Scripting)

  • Experience with administering back-end database technologies (one or more of the following: MongoDB, SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, Cassandra, Oracle)

  • Some experience with cloud IaaS and PaaS platforms (one or more of the following: Azure, AWS, Rackspace, Heroku, CloudFoundry, OpenStack)

  • Experience with testing automation tools (unit, integration and acceptance tests), creating CICD pipelines and DevOps.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university and a minimum of 6 - 10+ years of related experience and/or training, including 2 - 3+ years of management level experience. Knowledge of Integration services, cloud technologies, agile methodologies, CICD and DevOps is essential.

  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action
