The Corporate Workplace Business Line focuses on the skills needed to bring together all services to support Corporate Real Estate in addressing their workspace requirements, regionally, nationally and globally.

Our Dallas studio is actively seeking a Senior Principal of Corporate Workplace to join our growing practice. As Senior Principal, you will be responsible for the following:


  • Provides day-to-day administration of the Corporate Workplace Metro practice

  • Is the primary liaison with the Business Unit

  • Will execute defined practice goals and business plan

  • Monitors the status of all Corporate Workplace projects

  • Regularly reports regional status to Corporate Workplace firm-wide leadership team

  • Assists in preparing project fee, workload projections, monitors level of chargeability


  • Develops and executes strategic practice planning and marketing strategies; will collaborate with B+P Business Line and Business Unit leadership

  • Periodically act as Project Lead on specific projects or CAM on specific accounts

  • Prepares and executes business plan for area of responsibility

  • Conducts interviews/presentations at the executive level

  • Speaks at client conferences and publishes in industry journals

  • Communicates business performance at the end of each accounting period

  • Understands the industry, regional client needs, and market drivers

Business Development

  • Participate in developing annual business plan for the practice

  • Identifies new business opportunities while developing current client relationships

  • Participate in selected marketing and business development opportunities

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with consultants, contractors and jurisdictional/approval agencies

  • Assist in development of fee proposals for marketing proposals

  • Participates in local or state professional associations and conferences

Staff Development

  • Prepares and delivers design staff evaluations

  • Participates in interviews and recruitment of professional staff

  • Conducts employee performance evaluations, responsible for performance development

  • Leads office design reviews and critiques

  • Develops continuing education opportunities for the design staff

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or equivalent in education or experience

  • 15+ years’ experience in interior architectural practice with prior management experience in all phases of projects through post-occupancy

  • Registered Architect (current license required) or Professional Interior Designer (passed NCIDQ exam)

  • LEED credential required after 12 months of employment

  • Strong knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness

  • Advanced knowledge of architectural building systems

  • Advanced knowledge of sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines

  • Ability to manage multiple projects of a complex scope

  • Possess strong hand and advanced CAD drafting skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Architectural Desktop

  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications

  • If Registered Architect, NCARB registration

  • Master’s degree

  • Proficiency in 3D Modeling software such as 3D Studio Max and Viz 2006

  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign graphic software

  • Proficiency in Oracle and Salesforce

  • Proficiency in Revit

  • Sustainability, resiliency and/or climate adaptation experience a plus but not a requirement
