CBRE Strategic Sourcing Manager in Dallas, Texas


This position is responsible for enterprise wide category strategy development and execution for Indirect categories: HR, Marketing, Business Services, Travel, Facilities and Transportation. The overall objective of aggregating and leveraging purchasing power, increasing operational efficiency, and increasing profitability.


Analyzes commodity and service requirements, creates RFPs and reviews and analyze bids.

Negotiates contracts and serves as the principal commercial intermediary between suppliers, CBRE, procurement, legal and risk management departments.

Analyzes the expenditure base to identify cost reduction opportunities, creates, documents, and continuously updates/maintains market and product knowledge.

Prepares and maintain contracts with national/regional service providers in accordance with company standards.

Identifies, engages and influences internal stakeholders across organizational and geographical boundaries to ensure alignment behind Strategic Sourcing and Procurement strategies. Develops, manages, coordinates global sourcing processes and practices with internal stakeholders.

Develops and manages relationships with national/regional suppliers and contractors and assist in contract negotiations

Participates on behalf of the company in approved or sponsored Sourcing/Supply Chain organizations or related initiatives.

Mentors and educates the CBRE organization on contemporary sourcing practices and the value of applying them with third party providers to support CBRE business interests.

Operates autonomously with little supervision to achieve strategic objectives assigned.

This is currently an individual contributor role. As the global lead for a spend portfolio that will involve category strategic sourcing initiatives, the candidate will be responsible for coordinating strategy and its execution at local, regional and global levels with operational, sourcing and procurement personnel. Coordinates international resources to ensure alignment and global impact of sourcing strategy. May mentor and coach team members on subject matter, strategy and to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's RISE (Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence) values.

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university. MBA or advanced degree desired.

Minimum of 5 years of deep sourcing experience in diverse industries, with 5 years comprehensive sourcing experience in indirect spend areas. Aptitude in working with international colleagues and suppliers to coordinate and execute global strategies within a dynamic team environment. Demonstrated experience with service providers, multi-year contract management and outsourced providers.


C.P.M., C.P.S.M. or N.A.C.M. certifications or eligibility preferred.


Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.


Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.


Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.


Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite Products and Internet navigation. Experience in working with and managing e-procurement and contracts management platforms. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
