Our Distribution Business Unit in Europe consists of a distributor and dealer support network. They deliver reliable sales and service of durable and high performing engine, generator set and aftermarket products to our regionally based (global) partners. Working in a diverse, multi-cultural and innovative space, you’ll interact directly with our customers, build relationships and develop high tech solutions that will fuel your advanced career skill set. This is an exciting opportunity for a consultative Project Sales Manager who will promote our power generation solutions to a variety of businesses within Europe.

Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:

  • Evaluate the full European territory to identify key areas of opportunities, in order to prioritize activities in tendering for and securing large PowerGen projects.

Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop sales strategies to achieve optimum results.

Be dynamic, creative and passionate about the industry and the brand, growing the market share and increasing Cummins presence

Grow and establish positive customer relations. Utilize customer satisfaction tools to measure satisfaction and create action plans for improvement where necessary.

Guide and coordinate all communication and interfaces with the customer at all levels

Negotiate and implement contracts, including payment terms and accounts receivable deliverables

Collaborate with production and distribution to identify and prevent potential issues on the customer’s project.

Coach and mentor regionalSales Engineers.


  • Previous experience in a consultative technical sales environment.

  • Commercially aware with excellent negotiation skills

Natural rapport building skills with a desire to attain a high level of customer satisfaction

A creative and dynamic individual with a genuine passion for the industry and the brand, growing the marketshare and increasing Cummins presence.

Sales driven, with a proven track record of securing business with a drive and passion to find new lines of business, as well as grow and develop existing client base

Ability to interoperate complex project specifications and put together a value engineered proposal with a full encompassing CDE methodology (not essential but desirable)

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

  • An Engineering degree is preferred or relevant work experience within an engineering environment
