We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Engineering Specialist within our Permian EOR Plants Business Unit in Denver City, TX.
Essential Job Duties:
This position includes the performance of the following duties in support of ongoing plant operations with a focus on improved plant value through optimization:
Provide data, information, and technical support to plant engineering, operations and management staff.
Create tools to screen and analyze data, generate plots, build scorecards and presentations from a variety of sources.
Experience in recognizing and resolving data issues.
Assist engineering in the development of large capital and expense projects.
Assist in developing scope documents, P&ID’s and PFD’s.
Assist plant engineering in the development of plant tests and plant studies.
Assist plant operations and maintenance in support of issues affecting daily plant performance.
Assist the process safety engineer regarding the management of PHA’s, MOC’s, and recommendations.
Coordinate the monthly reporting of current project spending (value of work), and forecast project spending (outlook).
Project planning and management for safe execution of projects with predictable cost, schedule and performance.
Engineering Tech with 5 years oil industry experience. Bachelor Degree or Associate degree with 3 years oil industry experience preferred.
Demonstrated commitment to safety, and safe work practices.
Ability to communicate with a broad spectrum of plant and corporate personnel in a multi-disciplined team environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to make technically and economically sound recommendations with incomplete information and in the time required.
Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite software, including Microsoft Project.
Proficiency in or ability to learn applicable technical and economic analysis software.
Additional Desired Qualifications:
Proficiency with data analysis software (Access, SQL, Excel, OFM, and Spotfire).
Basic understanding of oil and gas operations.
