What you’ll be doing...
As a Verizon Professional Associate Activation Coordinator, you’re responsible for supporting the delivery of Unified Communications Solutions to our customers. Your role will include management/oversight of site activations and day-1 support of newly activated sites. The services you will provide will include running the bridges, tracking of issues, engaging the right resources/teams to solve technical problems, providing updates to both Verizon and customer teams and sending out completion notices at the end of each event. You will also serve as the escalation point for escalations that may occur during these events to coordinate internal communications to ensure the correct leaders are engaged to address.
Schedule and run internal and customer calls/bridges supporting activation and day-1 support events, ensuring all of the required participants are notified and available.
Support the Professional Services Activation Coordinator lead of the project team.
Lead and manage the activation and day-1 support phases of a project under the direction of a more senior Activation Coordinator.
Initiate hand-off to post-production support / day-2 teams.
Track and manage issues opened during site activation and day-1 support events.
Demonstrate clear and consistent ownership and accountability for the assigned responsibilities including, but not limited to: identification of non-scoped items requested during activation and day-1 support, open/run activation and day-1 bridges, document and track all issues opened during activation and day-1 events, and identify issue owner(s) and document updates through closure.
Send out activation and day-1 completion notices to Verizon and Customer teams.
Understand the scope of the solution by reading the Customer Statement of Work so that you are able to identify items the customer may be requesting that are outside of the scope during a site activation and/or day-1 support event that and require a Change Order.
What we’re looking for...
Professional Services Associate Activation Coordinators are typically involved in a project from site activation readiness through the end when the activated sites are transitioned to post-production support.
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of experience.
Two or more years of experience in project management.
Willingness to travel up to 20%.
Even better if you have:
BS or equivalent degree.
Demonstrated effective presentation and communications skills to accurately represent and convey information both in verbal and written form to multiple levels of an organization
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
Excellent computer skills necessary in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
Detail-oriented and ability to maintain composure in challenging situations.
Experience working in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
Ability to work independently with direction.
Ability to work in a stressful environment.
Ability to work nights and weekends to support scheduled activations/day-1 support events.
Desire for continued technical growth.
Strong organization skills.
