  • The Role*

The Enterprise Compromised Data (ECD) team is responsible for leading the assessment, investigation, and mitigation of compromised data incidents across the Wells Fargo enterprise, including ensuring data breach notifications to government regulators and individuals are handled appropriately. This consultant will report to the Enterprise Compromised Data Domestic Leader and is someone who enjoys a fast-paced, dynamic environment and appreciates working independently, thinking critically, applying analytic strengths and collaborating within teams.

The role will include participating in the incident response process working directly with the incident responders and will be responsible for leading incident analysis and data mining. The individual in this role will consult and perform very complex analyses design, involving data mining from multiple sources, financial, comparative analysis, customer data analysis, etc. Analytics involved will generally span multiple functional areas/business lines/data sources with the customer and their customer experience as the common thread.

Responsibilities will also include identifying opportunities to participate in and/or leading management information capabilities development work; interpreting and presenting results of analyses and recommendations to senior management. This consultant will ensure adherence to data management/data governance regulations and policies. The data involved may be very large, structured or unstructured, and from multiple sources. This consultant will be collaborating with other analytics teams within the organization and ensuring processes align with Enterprise Analytics goals and objectives, and adherence to data management, data governance, regulations and policies. The audience for their analysis and reporting will include line of business leaders, regulators as well as the Operating Committee and members of the WF Board of Directors.

The selected candidate will perform a variety of activities including:

  • Design and implement front-line risk and control reporting for Enterprise Compromised Data across assigned lines of business, ensuring consistent standards and aggregation of reports.

  • Responsible for compiling and mining data from source systems and spreadsheets, and developing complex statistical and trending analysis and process documentation of the data for a variety of internal and external recipients

  • Responsible for querying raw data as needed from data warehouses for various business purposes

  • Responsible for leading analysis, insights, quality assurance activities for the ECD program with an enterprise-wide impact

  • Responsible for creating specific customized reports and ad hoc analysis for leadership and/or partners

  • Responsible to reproduce KRIs for reporting and to identify emerging risk

  • Responsible to escalate breaches within KRI thresholds

  • Responsible for anticipating emerging issues and recommending subsequent strategies and process changes

  • Responsible for performing complex trending and analysis

  • Responsible for completing monthly, quarterly and annual regulatory reports

  • Responsible for leading various compliance projects and participating in audit activities including the gathering of data requests, reporting and drafting responses

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience, or a combination of both; or a BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 3+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience, or a combination of both
