We are looking for a talented professional passionate about the business of location and geospatial services to manage financial analytics for the Business Operations team in the Location Services & Data Commercialization group within the Strategic Platforms organization of Verizon. This individual will be responsible for working with the Directorand is responsible for supporting a variety of FP&A initiatives, leading business analytics initiatives and preparing financial models for the organization to determine the viability of product strategies, go-to-market strategies, partner optimization strategies, promotional initiatives, new business models and other investment decisions. This position requires a thorough understanding of financial operations and P&L management, and significant experience building tactical and strategic financial models to make the best-informed decisions possible.
Responsible for preparing financial and economic analysis for senior management to determine the viability of device promotions, loyalty programs, customer incentives and other investment initiatives.
Develop financial models, tools and corresponding assumptions used to evaluate the profitability of customer acquisition and retention initiatives, account optimization initiatives, marketing investments and go-to-market strategies, partnership negotiations and other initiatives.
Analyzes the financial profitability of new and existing products and services through the development of business cases and net present value models.
Prepares financial presentation materials and formal business case documents for use with senior management.
What we’re looking for...
You will need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Six or more years of experience withfinancial analysis and planning.
Even better if you have
Experience in Business Development, Strategic Planning or Marketing a plus.
Knowledge of of financial operations, financial planning & analysis and ROI analysis.
analytical and financial modeling skills.
High degree of proficiency with spreadsheet, presentation and word processing software
Knowledge of of key industry metrics and wireless financial and operational drivers
Knowledge of wireless telecommunications industry, geospatial and location services.
Strong interpersonal skills& ability to interact with all levels of management.
Strong analytical, organizational and motivational skills.
Self-starter with collaboration skills.
Problem solving and negotiating skills with comfort working in fast-past, fluid environment is essential.
