Instructional Designer/Trainer – CSE Training & Proactive Programs
The Customer Service Experience (CSE), Training and Proactive team is responsible for driving consistency and innovation in delivering Global Customer Support (GCS) training and proactive programs for internal and external stakeholders. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, communicating, and delivering content that support programs such as: My Oracle Support (MOS) training, Support Merger & Acquisition training, and Oracle Support’s Get Proactive program offerings.
Design and develop Global Customer Support organization learning and proactive program content for internal and external audiences.
Manage development and creation of learning modules, live web-based training sessions, training guides, learning paths, and supporting materials following Oracle’s instructional design process.
Create content based on input from Oracle subject matter experts across LOBs, other written material, and/or previous training courses
Utilize strong interpersonal, written and visual communication skills to bring together text, images, video and audio to communicate and educate internal and external audiences on new training materials
Produce quality training/content deliverables such as curriculum development, eLearning, communication, presentations and assessments.
Manage all aspects of a training/proactive program event to ensure success, e.g., scheduling, creating the training materials, providing live instruction, complete recording and sending follow up communication, etc.
Teach new material, deliver new offerings and services, and/or implement new My Oracle Support and Proactive Program modules with minimal preparation time and guidance.
Continually review course content to ensure accuracy and incorporate feedback from reviews and training events into subsequent versions.
Learn new services, technology, and internal processes to support training and proactive program deliverables.
Identify opportunities and deliver results for business optimization and innovation in Training and Proactive programs.
Desired Skills and Experience
Instructional design knowledge and experience
Experience with curriculum development, deployment, and delivery of customer and/or employee training.
Familiarity with content formats such as self-paced learning, guided learning, live events.
Experience with Learning innovations: Interest in the user experience, the modern learner, evolution of our offerings.
Camtasia skills – At a min, intermediate skills in this tool with operational ability able to create and publish materials
Experience in instructional design methods and training techniques including curriculum design principles, learning theory and blended learning strategies.
Experience with Learning path development and certification/assessment exam building (design quizzes/assessments to increase learning and retention).
Experience with course development software and any Learning Management System.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.
Self-starter as well as the ability to work in a deadline driven, high pressure environment.
Flexible and adaptable to change.
Experience collaborating, building relationships, and influencing others in a virtual team environment and across organizations globally.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Develops courseware to support new and existing products, often though not exclusively in conjunction with Product Division.
Coordinate and evaluate development contributions from other courseware development team members. Develop certification questions for use in the Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) exams. Solicit & incorporate feedback from reviews and training events. Deliver training at train-the-trainer and pilot events.
Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Bachelor
- s Degree in Computer Science or Instructional Design. Four years adult education experience (as teacher or curriculum developer). Seven years technical or professional experience using Oracle products or related software. Strong SQL and PL/SQL knowledge and experience. Knowledge of XML, Java, and J2EE technologies. Experience with Oracle9i Database administration. Knowledge of Oracle9i Application server.
