Internal Tools Web Developer

Preferred Qualifications

The Internal Tools Web Developer role

will be primarily responsible for designing, building and enhancing web

applications in support of internal user requirements and Sales initiatives

driven by the Oracle Financing Division.

Additionally the role will be responsible for maintaining the working

condition and usability of existing internal and external organization website,

acting as the owner of functionality, usability and integration within Oracle’s

standard toolset.

More

specifically responsibilities will include:

  • Developingand maintaining web collaboration tools for a 220 person team located throughoutthe Globe, with strong emphasis on design, user functionality and performance

  • Applyingappropriate UI and UX technologies to the design considerations of both websiteand web tool development

  • Ensuringworking order of internal and external websites

  • Steeringdiscussions and influencing technical decisions in development of variousinternal web applications for diverse business functions (Sales, Marketing,Training, etc.)

  • Collaboratingwith content owners and Creative Director on design, layout and template set-upof various web pages

  • Trackingand analyze usage to drive layout modifications and changes as needed

  • Servingas an organizational liaison in representing OFD on the Content GovernanceBoard

  • Drivingproject-based ad-hoc web-application development in support of organizationchange management

The

role will report to the Pricing/Product Solution Manager, in Marketing Group, within

Oracle Financing, and will work within a multilevel matrix environment of

resources from multiple Oracle disciplines and departments.

Qualifications

  • 3years of hands-on, full time website development experience

  • Bachelor’sdegree in related field

  • DemonstratedHTML, CSS and JavaScript skills

  • Experiencewith front end frameworks, preferablyAngularJS or ReactJS

  • Familiaritywith the whole web stack

  • Abilityto develop new design and code

  • Experiencebuilding RESTful APIs

  • Experiencewith Oracle APEX, a plus

  • Abilityto research, analyze, report and take action on website metrics.

  • Recentproof of completion of relevant coursework and certifications in relation tothe most recent web application development technologies.

  • Provenability to achieve in a high-pressure environment including ad-hoc projectrequests

  • Solidproject management skills with the ability to manage to and meet deadlines

  • Abilityto work independently and in a team environment, and to navigate through largecorporate structure

  • Exceptionalinterpersonal skills, demonstrating a high degree of resourcefulness andpersistence.Abilityto establish technical subject matter authority and credibility Abilityto solve any challenges in the front-end and to provide creative solutions tothese challenges

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Responsible for the overall appearance and function of websites. Provides for the delivery of content and message on website, Mobile applications, Interactive Media and e-Mail efforts in execution of the company's digital strategy

Provides technical support and administration of the software infrastructure for the implementation and maintenance of company's digital efforts. Designs and maintains web pages/digital interfaces/applications. Develops user interface features, site animation and special effects. Coordinates wtith web content developers to ensure the delivery of the content and message is accurate. Provides technical site maintenance, consultation on issues related to animation, search engine techniques, link integrity, navigation, browsers, graphics and other technical developments. Develops code using HTML, Visual Basic or other web-based/digital application programming languages. Prepares technical documentation

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. Knowledge of digital activities, applications, techniques, tools, HTML code, Java, GIF, animation, browsers and basic GUI design related applications. Advanced working knowledge of HTML, Javascript and CSS required. Corporate web design experience also required. May have project lead role. 5 years related experience. Moderate technical and strategic understanding of Technology, Applications, and Industry solutions being marketed.
