Kaiser Permanente Licensed Mental Health Professional in Denver, Colorado
Provides diagnostic evaluations and subsequent brief focused treatment using a variety of evidenced-based treatment interventions and various treatment modalities including individual, family, marital, and group psychotherapies.
The duties vary based on in-patient and/or outpatient assignment.
Evaluates and provides therapeutic intervention for patients requesting mental health services utilizing short-term solution oriented individual, marital, family, and/or group psychotherapy, and/or biofeedback, using verbal communication and testing skills.
Communicates effectively with outside agencies regarding treatment plans for referring agencies and/or outside providers; this may include preparation of written clinical reports and/or consultations.
Provides crisis intervention services as needed; determines appropriateness of hospitalization; assesses patient's potential for lethality.
Must be able to sit majority of day during patient evaluation and psychotherapy sessions.
Minimum two (2) years of post masters practice experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
Masters degree in social work, counseling, psychology or an equivalent Master's degree.
License, Certification, Registration
Colorado licensure as a Licensed clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Colorado.
For in-patient assignments - applicants must possess qualifications to be credentialed at inpatient facility.
National Provider Identifier (NPI) and Taxonomy code required at time of hire.
This role does the pre-surgery assessments for gastric bypass.
Additional Preferences: Experience with Eating Disorders and Bariatric Evaluations .
Has at least 3-5 years of eating disorder experience.
Has at least one year of intake eating disorder assessment experience
Experience working with Binge Eating Disorders
