Position Summary: This position supports the mission of Presbyterian/St Luke’s Medical Center of providing innovative and comprehensive care to patients and their families. All employees are expected to put patients first, with quality, respect, safety and teamwork in all interactions with every patient, family, staff member, physician and the public.
Responsible for providing a structure for effective monitoring and evaluating quality of care throughout the hospital. Serves all hospital-based and medical staff services. Plans, organizes, and directs activities to provide both professional and technical quality and process improvement support. Includes directing and managing ongoing quality improvement activities and root cause analyses. Coordinates monitoring of HCAHPS and other patient satisfaction measures. Directs staff in concurrent monitoring and abstraction for Core Measures. Supports staff and managers in preparation for and continued regulatory compliance for The Joint Commission and Quality Review surveys.
The Manager of Quality is responsible for direction to lead the hospital quality programs. As a leading hospital, Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center must demonstrate superior quality outcomes and provide seamless delivery of evidence-based care. The Manager of Quality facilitates the use of clinical data and research findings for implementation of programs that ensure excellence in the delivery of patient care. The director is responsible for fostering innovation and excellence in nursing and across all hospital departments. This position directs quality management including achievement of Regulatory Compliance, Core Measures, HCAHPS improvement and reduction of Hospital Acquired Conditions.
*Licensure/Certification/Registration: * * Colorado RN license or Licensure in a healthcare related profession. * CPHQ or other Quality Certification required.
*Education: * * Baccalaureate degree in nursing required; Graduate degree in Nursing or health related field required.
*Experience: * * Minimum of three years progressive experience in healthcare quality management, including regulatory compliance, i.e. TJC, CMS, and State Department of Health and Environment. * Ability to analyze detailed reports, statistical data, and financial reports. * Demonstrated success in quality measures such as Core Measures,
