We are looking to fill this office based role in either Denver, CO or Phoenix, AZ

The overall goal of this position is to improve the strategic wellness/population health guidance currently provided to customers, prospects and sales/account team members across National Accounts. This individual will leverage the skills of their internal partners, provide strategic direction to sales and account teams on a targeted basis, and drive the development and enhancement of our wellness/population health portfolio.

Fundamental Components:

External Focus

Provide strategic guidance on the design of multi-year population health strategies for select prospects & customers.

Present innovation updates within the territory

Present Aetnas population health and innovation capabilities to prospects and customers in select finalist meetings

Assess and source outside vendors as appropriate for specific client needs where Aetna does not have required capabilities

Represent Aetna at appropriate local, regional or national industry conferences.

Monitor trends and industry best practices in wellness and health promotion

Internal Focus

Collaborate with NA management (Peers, Market Heads, CSLs, VPCMs) to provide strategic consultative guidance to account team members on the design of multi-year population health strategies.

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with corporate and business unit partners, specifically the wellness product team to ensure strategic alignment, priority setting, and bi-directional communication.

Maintain sufficient knowledge of innovation pipeline, pilots and customer ready programs to update account team members and CCSA and to guide messaging as appropriate.



Bachelors degree required, Masters level preferred

Industry experience preferred

Demonstrated leadership skills

Ability to establish relationships and build rapport

Must possess strong communication and presentation skills

Ability to work across teams and departments in a matrix environment


The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Work location can be either Denver, CO or Phoenix, AZ - office based. No telework.
