HCA, Hospital Corporation of America Patient Care Tech (CNA) Wound Center - PRN in Denver, Colorado
*Center is open Monday-Thursday. No weekends or nights. May require up to 2-3 shifts per week.
*Position Summary: *This position supports the mission of Presbyterian/St Luke’s Medical Center of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person.
The Wound Care Patient Care Technician is responsible for providing patient care under the direction of licensed nurses in the Wound Healing Center including intaking patients to the clinic and performing dressing changes. Additionally assists in maintaining sanitary conditions in the patient’s environment, transports patients, stocks clinical supplies, and files charts, pictures and reports. Performs routine procedures and treatments to facilitate patient flow. Supports the philosophy of P/SLMC and the Wound Healing Center to provide superior patient care. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

A. *Licensure/Certification/Registration: *Current Colorado CNA license required. Current BLS certification through American Heart Association required.
B. *Education:High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of nursing assistant training program preferable.//*
C. *Experience:* Previous ambulatory services/clinic experience desirable.
D. Special Qualifications: Knowledge of sterile technique, patient teaching methods for all ages.
Degree of supervision required: Involves general guidance and direction Denver Wound Healing Center Unit Manager. Employee will be expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
