POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Senior Benefits Consultant, you will consult and

partner on a wide variety of complex projects involving strategy setting,

design, pricing, implementation, compliance and communication of a variety of

US Health Benefit programs including medical, dental, vision,

life, disability, and time off. You will serve as the project

manager leading a team for annual open enrollment, vendor implementations and

overall lead on benefit communications. You will work closely with the

benefits team serving as a collaborative partner and advisor to the VP,

Director and Manager of Benefits and as a mentor/advisor to the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop strong relationships with consultants, vendors,and internal partners including finance, legal and human resources.

  • Serve as the primary contact for the Silicon ValleyEmployer Forum. Manage and support various industry memberships includingNBGH, ERIC and ABC. Participate in meetings, surveys, data gatheringand benchmarking.

  • Work on a variety of employee communicationsthroughout the year including annual review of the Summary PlanDescription.

  • Serve as an advisor to the Information Security Manager(ISM) and provide support on projects focused on HIPAA compliance.

  • Create executive presentations and accompanyinganalytics on a variety of topics including pricing strategy andintroduction of new benefit programs and policies.

  • Serve on internal benefit committees

  • Manage vendors and introduce new vendors or programsthat might enhance Oracle’s overall benefits strategy

  • Well versed in benefits compliance including ERISA andACA

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Administers and communicates Oracle

  • s benefit programs in regards to plan options, enrollment, and policy features. Assists with employee eligibility and claim issues. Conducts benefits employee orientation. Assists in implementation of annual open enrollment. May be assigned a wide variety of departmental projects; ie: analysis of new offerings, coordination of vendors and providers. May answer general 401(k) and redirect calls as appropriate.

As a member of Corporate Benefits you will be responsible for the daily administration of Oracle

  • s flexible benefit programs to include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, ADandD, LTD and legal services. Will interface with Oracle

  • s web tools to support benefit programs.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Strong verbal and written communication skills in partnering with employees, HR, and vendors/providers. Strong customer service/computer skills. Familiarity with HRIS systems. Ability to learn quickly (including technical skills) and adjust to rapidly changing work environment. 8 years benefits experience and BA/BS degree.
