Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.
As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.
Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.

This Sales Consultant will handle the technical presales responsibilitiesfor Oracle Monetization Cloud (Billing / Order-to- Cash, SaaS) to all customersin North America
As a Senior Sales Consultant, you will be responsible forproviding presales technical / functional support to prospective clients andcustomers while ensuring high customer satisfaction. You are expected to deliver high qualitypresentations and demonstrations of Oracle Communications solutions in a compellingmanner. Sales acumen and technical knowledge are essential qualities for thisposition.
You will be required to respond to technical and functional RFIs/RFPs,perform technical discovery and assessment on leads with sales account managersto help qualify opportunities and drive sales pipeline. Once opportunities arequalified, you will be engaged on the opportunity performing tasks such aspresenting Oracle Communications solutions and capabilities in a compellingmanner, building and/or delivering customized demonstrations and proofs ofconcept (POC) to meet customer requirements. You will be responsible forpre-sales activities through often complex sales cycles working with C level, Directors,Managers and technical leads at the customer and with the extended Oracle salesteam.
Skills required are non-routine and complex, involving theapplication of advanced technical/business skills in areas of specialization. Abilityto understand technical requirements/problems, turn these into a salesopportunities, and develop them into successful engagements is essential. Youmust be an individual contributor and act as a team member, providing directionand mentoring to others.
Subscription billing, telecommunications and/or enterprise billing experience
Experience selling cloud / SaaS solutions is preferred
Ideally worked for either a service provider / enterprise business in the IT department, or a BSS/billing vendor
Knowledge of rating and billing systems including integrations with CRM, CPQ, Commerce, Self-Service, Order Management and ERP/Financial systems
3 to 5 years of experience in the subscription billing, telecommunications or enterprise billing industry
Some hands-on skills with technologies such as XML, Web Services, Java, Weblogic / J2EE, Business Intelligence (BI), Oracle database is preferred
Very strong written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills
Previous presales experience is ideal
Must be independent, self-motivated, a strong team collaborator, with excellent multitasking skills, and willing to learn
Able to travel, typically 30-60% of the time
