IBM Watson Health - Cognos Developer/Analytic Consultant in DENVER, Colorado
Can be based in Denver, Chicago, Ann Arbor or Sacramento
The Healthcare Cognos Report Developer will work independently to provide analytic consulting and Cognos report development support for a state Medicaid customer. Responsible for sub-task management on small to mid-size projects. Must have the ability to work in a client environment.
Execute analytic methodologies to support client actions and decision-making.
Conduct data analysis using basic skills in statistics and database management.
Complete assignments on time and manage sub-tasks.
Interact with clients in a professional manner and respond quickly to customer requests.
Interact with project team in a collegial and professional manner; help foster teamwork to complete designated tasks.
Provide on-site support (e.g., requests for ad hoc reporting assistance, miscellaneous research, advise on analytic methods) and training to client end users.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
REQUIRED Skills and Experience
3-5+ years of healthcare industry work experience.
Proven task management skills.
Strong analytic skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong customer service orientation.
Proficient knowledge of Cognos Business Intelligence Tool
Education / Certifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as: Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology OR Applied Mathematics.
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
PREFERRED Skills and Experience
Medicaid OR Healthcare claims transaction work experience.
SAS, ArcGIS, SPSS OR Business Intelligence tool proficiency.
