Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) businesses build enduring client relationships through sound, thoughtful, and objective advice. We help our clients by developing individualized plans for everything from retirement goals to business succession planning to family legacy intentions. This Analytic Consultant 5 position is within the WIM Control Analytics and Decision Sciences group reporting to WIM Control. WIM’s risk data governance effort focuses on driving compliance with key regulatory policies and industry standards for the effective management of risk data including the implementation of corrective actions related to data quality issues.

As a member of the Data Initiatives and Reporting team this position focuses on consulting with leaders and teams across WIM including, but not limited to, Compliance Surveillance, Supervision, and Operational Risk, to understand current business problems and provide data driven solutions to support and influence decision making. The Consultant will proactively help the business identify areas of analytic opportunity, utilizing their understanding of the complexities of WIM Control and Compliance and how to employ technology to enable business goals. Additionally, the Consultant will become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on brokerage and operational risk data, business challenges, and risk measures. The person in this role will determine analytical strategies and synthesize data to 'form a story', as well as extract, transform, and load data from disparate systems. They will be responsible for performing highly complex activities related to business and data analysis that are larger in scope and complexity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partner with all levels of business leaders and collaborate with various technical teams in efforts to transform assignments with minimal definition into results that drive business value.

  • Proactively help the business identify areas of analytic opportunity, drive insights, and inform business decisions by establishing consulting partnerships.

  • Coordinate and participate in the business application of complex analysis designs including quantitative, statistical, or financial analysis and/or predictive models.

  • Identify and recommend potential data sources and design solution data infrastructures; utilize a strong technical and analytical skill set (SAS, SQL, R, and Python) to navigate multiple data sources in order to extract, transform, and load the data necessary to perform complex analyses and develop or recommend insightful and actionable solutions.

  • Prepare comprehensive documentation including detailed requirements and specifications, ETL design, and project timelines.

  • May lead project/virtual teams & mentor junior team members.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling

  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
