Community Banking operates one of the most extensive banking franchises in the country, serving customers through approximately 6,000 branches and 13,000 ATMs in 39 states and the District of Columbia. The Implementation Consultant consults and provides leadership to project managers and project teams towards successful implementation planning, solution preparation, delivery to the field, and measurement of initiatives that are the complex and strategic in nature. Provides matrix leadership to cross-functional teams to accomplish project tasks and goals. Evaluates current business environment to determining the most effective implementation strategy. Collaborates with project managers to define projects / goals, design the appropriate change focused communications and identify the learning business process model and/or timing/bundling for implementations. Assists in determining size, scope, impacts, risk, budget and strategy for corporate wide initiatives; presenting for senior management review. Provides consultation, requirements, tools, direction to business units performing their own solution preparation (for less complex projects) to ensure standards are met.

  • Ability and desire to “go deep” to understand and document complex operational and technical processes and impacts on communications and the customer experience

  • Ability to thrive in an environment where close adherence to detailed standard operating procedures, WF software development life cycle, and attention to detail is critical

  • Ability to manage multiple projects within established timeframes while maintaining high quality execution

  • Strong organization skills to ensure completeness and accuracy of project files, system inputs, project plans, and communication approvals to support audit requirements

  • Ability to build, maintain, and leverage relationships to define, document, and clarify system and project scope, desired customer experience, and technical and system impacts

  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful working relationships in and outside of immediate department

  • Ability to lead and facilitate discovery and content meetings with partners in a poised, professional manner and with a service oriented-attitude

  • Ability to apply corporate writing standards and brand voice to transform bank and legal and technology “jargon” into correct, clear, consistent, and customer-centric customer communications

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of implementation experience

  • 3+ years of project management experience, additional implementation experience, or a combination of both

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage multiple project and process implementations

  • Ability to work across multiple lines of business leading large scale initiatives

  • Ability to manage process improvement initiatives to optimize operational effectiveness and efficiencies

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills

  • Ability to track large volumes of activities across multiple projects and groups

  • A BS/BA degree or higher

  • Ability to lead projects/initiatives with high risk and complexity

  • Ability to facilitate and lead meetings to reach conclusions, identify tasks, record actions, and achieve results

  • Ability to track and monitor project progress, identify project and process gaps, recommend controls and communicate progress to business leaders
