IBM SAP Project Manager - Oil & Gas (f/m) in DEU, Germany

As we are growing our client base in Oil & Gas area, we are looking for SAP Project Managers who will be partnering with our oil & gas clients to help shape their upstream and downstream projects every step of the way; taking responsibility for scope, driving change, client relationship management, cost and schedule, applying techniques for planning, tracking, change control and risk management to ensure successful delivery for our clients.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be leading and delivering SAP projects to meet business benefit KPIs, on time, to quality and budget using defined methods, processes and tools. You will oversee the design, implementation and delivery of complex transformation upstream / downstream projects centred on SAP. These will be demanding and large-scale, multinational, needing high performance and availability. You will have a strong Oil & Gas Industry focus with knowledge of best practice processes to meet Oil & Gas Industry requirements.
Our programmes also involve complex integration to tie processes together across SAP and non-SAP systems and they will involve the latest technologies.
You will lead a multi-disciplined project team aiming to meet specified requirements and to exceed our client’s expectations. You will be part of a community of like-minded SAP professionals who share ideas and are keen coaches and mentors of our delivery teams.
Responsible to deliver highly complex SAP implementation projects (full cycle-Concept phase to Go Live) in upstream area
Accountable to advise on highly complex and new SAP issues / projects (you are considered a senior authority within SAP community, e.g. Warehousing, Logistics, and Plant Maintenance)
Setting strategic direction for SAP technology in supply chain area (Warehousing, Logistics, and Plant Maintenance)
Leading successful implementations of new SAP projects (new greenfield or updates-brownfield) in Oil & Gas industry
Driving further implementation, improvements and harmonization of SAP systems (MM, WM, PM modules)
Leading harmonization and increase integration of SAP modules (JVA, FI, CO, PS, MM, PM)
We are looking for candidates who excel at leading SAP Projects enabled by best-of-breed SAP focused solutions to clients in the Germany and Europe, who can both demonstrate a proven track record of SAP and project delivery in oil & gas industry and who are equally adept at people and business management.
In addition to the detailed requirements you will have proven experience of managing SAP projects or services in a client facing role and possess:
University degree in Finance, IT, Engineering or related discipline with at least 10 years of relevant experience
Extensive experience of SAP implementations in a global environment (upstream experience is preferred as well as knowledge of Warehousing, Logistics, and Plant Maintenance)
Ability to thrive in an environment with multiple priorities and tight deadlines, to influence business partners, project managers and other stakeholders
Strong understanding of oil and gas or commodity / extraction business
Very good knowledge of overall SAP ERP (specially experience of SAP MM and PM preferred, additional FI / CO knowledge an advantage)
Strong communication/presentation skills and fluency in English

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
