As (Senior) Managing Consultant Customer Analytics, you will be part of our Cognitive Business Decision Support consulting team where you will take leadership for providing methodological and technical subject matter expertise around advanced and large-scale data analysis for customer analytics. This will comprise identification and assessment of advanced analytics use cases on customer analytics like quantitative marketing, campaign analysis and targeting, churn prediction, customer profiling and segmentation, customer sentiment detection, ad optimization, and/or omni-channel marketing. You will apply statistical approaches to analytical problems and own the rapid execution of analyses on structured and unstructured data incl. data preparation, analytical modelling and evaluation as well as advisory on the integration of advanced analytics approaches in customer facing processes, tools and analytical architectures. As part of this role, you will routinely be responsible for leading sales and delivery engagements.
You’ll likely have a MSc or PhD degree in a relevant quantitative field (such as quantitative marketing, statistics, operations research or computer science). In addition, you’ll have multiple years of industry experience in the field of customer analytics – e.g. as consultant, analyst or research scientist - and you’ll be used to working with client business functions on senior levels.
You’ll have in-depth knowledge in relevant advanced analytics methods such as mathematics, statistics, data mining, machine learning, and/or operations research. At the same time, you’ll have a successful track record of applying your expertise to generate business value, a strong understanding of customer analytics related business challenges and you are able to explain analytical insights to a non-technical audience.
Your key skills include:
Strong quantitative and analytical expertise that covers quantitative marketing, statistics, machine learning / data mining, experimentation methodology
Multiple years of professional experience in applying advanced analytics to customer analytics use cases in one or more dedicated industries
Multiple years of hands-on experience in leading advanced analytics tools (e.g. R, Python, SPSS, SAS or MATLAB)
Multiple years of hands-on experience in conducting analyses on unstructured as well as structured/ semi-structured data (including appropriate data pre-processing using e.g. SQL and programming/ scripting languages such as Python, Java, Scala)
Experience with large-scale Big Data analytics tools (e.g. Apache Hadoop Ecosystem, Apache Spark, Apache Mahout, Apache Flink and/ or Apache Kafka) will be a strong advantage
Experience with leading CRM and online marketing solutions (e.g. SalesForce, Adobe, SAP Hybris) will be a strong advantage
Strong communication skills and business acumen, including a feeling for data visualization and experience in presenting complex information to business stakeholders in a compelling way
Experience in guiding and leading junior team members and project teams.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science or related fields
At least 3 years of experience in applying Statistics/ Data Mining/ Machine Learning methods
At least 3 years of experience in conducting customer analytics on structured and unstructured data
At least 3 years of experience in advanced analytics tools (such as R, SPSS, SAS or MATLAB)
Experience in Relational Databases/ SQL
Experience in data processing using Java, Python or Scala
At least 3 years of experience in a consulting or analyst role
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
Master's Degree or PhD
Experience in Apache Hadoop Ecosystem/ Apache Spark or other emerging “Big Data” technologies
Experience with NoSQL or Cloud Data Management
