The Hertz Corporation Franchisee Accountant - French Market in Dublin, Ireland


We are seeking to employ an enthusiastic & ambitious Francisee Accountant - French speaking to join our busy experienced Finance team. We will give you the flexibility and support you need to shape your own career according to your strengths, skills and personality.

Our successful candidate will join an experienced Finance team and be part of the fastest growing Car Rental company in the world. The role is based in our friendly and fast paced European Shared Services office in Swords County Dublin, where we employ approximately 900 people with over 29 different nationalities.

What you'll do

The Franchisee Accountant is responsible for the review and control of all Franchisee Reconciliations, to monitor all entries booked by the area and ensure that information is accurate & to assist in the day to day operations of the Franchisee Accounting Department.

  • To compile reports and ensure that invoices are produced and sent to Licensees for the following items: TACO, Frequent Flyer, Licensee Adjustment Report, Prepaid Voucher Report, Free Format Report, Expense Distribution Report

  • To log and resolve queries ensuring that credits are agreed or amounts are rejected in a timely manner to ensure the provision in the General Ledger is kept to a minimum.

  • To rebill all third party invoices to ensure that Franchisees are billed for all costs incurred on their behalf and that the accounting entries are correctly reflected.

  • To control the Intercompany entries booked and ensure they get rebilled or reversed in a timely manner.

  • Review and control of all Franchise Account reconciliations to ensure that all balances are current and accurate .

What you'll need

  • Accounting experience / qualification (or in the process of acquiring) is essential

  • English and French is essential, written and spoken

  • Computer literacy/systems knowledge.

  • Strong written and spoken Communication Skills

  • Must be accurate, diligent and able to meet targets and deadlines
