SEPA Business Analyst - Senior Consultant

This opportunity is with Oracle Financial Services Software, a separate company and majority-owned subsidiary of Oracle Corporation.

We are looking to appoint 2 Business Analysts who will work within the level 1 production support environment of the SEPA Credit transfers & Direct debits department, of one of Ireland's leading bank.

There are 2 positions

  1. Business Analyst for SEPA Credit Transfer Stream

  2. Business Analyst for SEPA Direct Debit Stream

Cabinteely, South Dublin

Details of Activities:

  1. Work on a mission critical 24x7x365 production support environment providing support

  2. Work on trouble shooting issues, finding root cause and resolving incidents

  3. Analysis and Communication of incident impact to various stakeholders in bank

  4. Work on the underlying issues causing the incidents & contribute to problem resolution

  5. Contribute to a controlled change management processes

  6. Use ITIL standards based processes to achieve deliverables that meet quality expectations of oracle/client.

  7. Work in conjunction with offshore team for various incidents, problems and changes.

  8. Adhere to defined Change Control Process of oracle/customer. Comply with oracle/customer audit/compliance requirements.

  9. Perform proper handover/knowledge transfer at end of each assignment. Timely status reporting to supervisor.

  10. Timely submission of timesheets for oracle/customers

Desired Skills & Experience

Primary Skills

  • Proven skills as a Business Analyst & experience to function in Production Support environments.

  • Functional Experience in SEPA payment systems (Credit Transfer & Direct Debits)

  • Basic knowledge of PL/SQL

  • Awareness of ITIL Processes

  • Capable to speak to IT, Ops and business people

  • IT skills including Microsoft Office

  • Good communication skills in English

Educational and Other Qualifications

  • Should be an Irish/ EEA national

  • Should hold a Bachelors/Masters Degree in Computer Science / Accounting / Banking / Commerce / Management.

  • Fluency in English is a must.

Work Environment

  • Should be willing to work anywhere in Europe.

  • Should be willing to provide on call support & deployments on weekends

  • Ability to work in a high pressure, fast moving, multi-cultural and challenging environment

  • Team player

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Intermediate consulting position operating independently with some assistance and guidance to provide quality work products to a project team or customer that comply with Oracle methodologies and practices. Performs standard duties and tasks with some variation to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer specifications.

Standard assignments are accomplished without assistance by exercising independent judgment, within defined policies and processes, to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements.

2-5 years of overall experience in relevant functional or technical roles. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.
