  • The Test Facility Technician will perform daily inspections of critical equipment and records the operating values of the equipment to determine if the equipment is functioning properly. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with, plumbing, HVAC, boilers, pneumatics, vacuum pumps, building control systems and electrical systems to include power generation. This position does require the employee to work on a rotating week on and week off, day and night schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports the project Safety Plan through personal involvement in all aspects of safety, including training and attention to the adherence to safety requirements pertaining to particular trades or skills.

  • This position may be designated as Mission Critical as required by the company to meet contract requirements.

  • This position may be part of an emergency management/response team as required by the company to meet contract requirements.

  • Must wear and use all required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, safety shoes, ear plugs, hardhat, etc.

  • Performs duties on a rotating week on and week off, day and night schedule.

  • Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters and perform other maintenance actions on prescribed checklist.

  • Records operating values of specified equipment. Determines if values are within operating specifications.

  • Performs troubleshooting on failed equipment and/or devices through the use of electronic test devices.

  • Perform emergency repairs of equipment due to unforeseen breakdowns or failures found during the inspections of the facilities.

  • Proficient use of different types of hand tools and power tools including multi meters.

  • Reports any discrepancies that were not repairable during the shift to the Shop Supervisor.

  • Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, and plumbing blue prints

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications : (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 2 years experience in position of Maintenance or Operations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to read, write and receive written and/or verbal instructions in English.

  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills for interfacing with military and civilian customers.

  • Must posses’ valid state drivers’ license and be deemed insurable under company policy

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

  • The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.

  • During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
