Corporate Responsibility and Community Relations operates as the link between the company and the communities we serve, focusing on stakeholder engagement and corporate social responsibility strategies and programs. We work to protect our reputation, tell our story, bolster team member engagement, connect with and lead our philanthropy activities in communities and bring new and innovative solutions to life.

This position reports to the Community Relations Manager for the Carolinas and is responsible for program management, implementation and administration for Wells Fargo community engagement initiatives and philanthropy for the Triangle Area (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill) and Eastern North Carolina to the coast. The position is located at 150 Fayetteville Street, Raleigh, NC 27601.

Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be needed.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Mobilize One Wells Fargo market leadership, team member engagement, and strategic investments to generate impactful community solutions

  • Execute on enterprise-wide community programs that focus on meeting objectives and priorities of the Community Relations team for strategic philanthropy, team member volunteerism and management of signature community initiatives to include Community Support Campaign, Hands on Banking, Reading First, Volunteer Chapter and Volunteer Recognition Program

  • Establish and maintain relationships with significant nonprofit and community groups that align with our focus on community development, support of public education and culture of caring

  • Represent Wells Fargo in the community, projecting a positive image, communicating the impact of our Community Affairs work in low- and moderate-income communities, building those impact stories and telling them in partnership with communicators to include coordinating check presentations, executive advocacy speaking engagements, attending networking and sponsorship events, and representing the company on external boards and committees

  • Develop strong partnerships with line of business leaders, Team Member Networks and Volunteer Chapter leaders, and functional partners such as Community Development, Marketing, Communications, regularly attending internal meetings to share Community Relations priorities, activities and updates

  • Monitor and analyze regional philanthropy budgets and forecasts. Play a leading role in making funding recommendations to grant review committees, coding grant applications, preparing monthly financial projections, and ensuring Wells Fargo Foundation activities adhere to company compliance policies

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of community relations experience

  • 1+ year of leadership or project management

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access) skills

  • Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
