Overview

Bronto Software is currently seeking a seasoned sales professional who is a master of developing sales management talent and driving top of the funnel process. This individual will be responsible for on-going hiring and management of our Business Development Team, which fuels opportunity creation by qualifying and prospecting the leads that feed our revenue cycle.

Responsibilities

The Director of Business Development will manage a team of Business Development Representatives. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable coaching and motivating team members (both managers and individual contributors) on a day to day basis, working with cross departmental teams, managing escalated prospect inquiries, analyzing performance, managing productivity projects and training new team members. This role will report to the AVP of Sales Operations and own the worldwide Revenue Cycle numbers.

Qualifications

Track record of exceeding team sales quota

Proven history of exceeding an individual contributor sales position quota

Recruiting, hiring and developing sales management staff

Continually learning about new products, ecosystem, partners and improving selling skills for you and your team

Providing weekly reporting of pipeline and forecast

Managing cross departmental productivity projects

Industry experience in the software and/or online markets (Prefer SaaS and email marketing experience)

4 years as a Sales Manager or Director.

4 years within Account Development/Lead Generation/Direct Sales

Comfortable training team members of entry level sales people on the art of selling

Experience with the entire sales cycle – You’re a closer!

Solid understanding of prospecting using telephone, social media and email

BS/BA Degree a requirement. MBA is a plus

Other:

Provides daily operations management of inbound and outbound call response and lead qualification functions. Creates product, sales, and business function training programs. Coordinates marketing (direct mail, advertising, etc.) activities with Marketing organization. Participates as a team member in strategic and tactical planning for the division. Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of staff. Participates in the recruiting process and provides hiring recommendations to senior management. Manages budget. Provides support to marketing and sales programs.

Experience qualifying prospects and customers; understanding of the sales cycle process. Strong leadership skills. Strong Oracle product knowledge preferred. BA/BS preferred. Experience managing staff. Manage and control activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensure appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet business needs.
