Thermo Fisher Scientific Director Service Line Management, Solubility Enhancement in Durham, North Carolina

Job Description

In this key role, you will develop and communicate a vision for Solubility Enhancement (service line development through commercial supply) that is linked to the achievement of business goals. You will utilize a thorough and in-depth understanding of the markets and customers to lead the development of the service line strategies and plans

What will you do?

  • Partner with the Demand Creation Managers to create marketing campaigns to grow market share and achieve planned sales and margin

  • Monitor the execution of marketing campaigns and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns

  • Partner with sales leaders to drive growth and support key opportunities

  • Serve as the internal SME and develops and maintains a network of SMEs and key opinion leaders globally

  • Lead the development of global service line launches

  • Lead market analysis to gain market data on sales, the competitive landscape and pricing

  • Evaluate market data and sales drivers to identify opportunities and competitive threats

  • Drive the development of the yearly forecast and marketing plan

  • Provide support to sales (e.g. make prospect/customer calls and provide sales enablement content)

  • Create pricing models and facilitate pricing decisions

  • Monitor service line adoption and use and collect customer feedback

  • Continually evaluate our product and service offering and make recommendations for capital expenditure for new capabilities and capacity

How will you get there?

Education

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred

Experience

  • Broad experience in pharmaceutical solubility enhancement

  • Strong marketing or sales background.

  • Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills.

  • Previous experience in technical product/services development desirable

  • Ability to conduct market, competitor and customer research to gather insight, assess market opportunities and make the case for investment in new technologies

  • Experience in Product strategy definition, with the ability to develop business plans for new products.

  • Ability to coordinate with service line development, engineering and other functions for service line development and delivery
