Oracle Business Analyst 4-Ops in East Brunswick, New Jersey

Provides programs to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance in support of the organization's financial and tactical business objectives. Provides business practices and processes. Develops, communicates, and trains the organization on business practices and processes.

Serve as a liaison with other divisions such as Finance, Contracts, HR, Legal, Shared Services, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Risk Management in an effort to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing. Collect, input, verify, correct, and analyze data to measure key performance indicator actual versus business objectives. Provide updates to management regarding budget to actual, informing them of deviations and opportunities. Provide management with economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions and/or deals. Communicate Oracle Business Practices to the organization and monitor process and approvals for full compliance. Drive implementation of new processes and procedures.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet format. Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected. For this, relationship management skills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills. 8 plus years relevant work experience.

Analyst supporting, as a shared service, all lines of North American Applications (NAA) lines of business - ERP, HR, Sales Automation, Service Automation, Marketing Cloud, Oracle Digital (Mirrored and SMB) and Oracle's legacy On-Premise License business.

You will be responsible for assisting with the Tools, Reporting and Analytics for NAA. Pipeline reports, participation, sales velocity, segmentations, GTM account counts, etc. You will also be a shared resource to assist with the development of charts, graphs, QBR decks/deliverables. The strategy of the group will be to create an Information Data Warehouse and to automate as many of the reporting requirements as possible.

In the role you will also interface with:

  • the Chiefs of Staff and Sales Operations personnel for each of the Lines of Business mentioned above as well as NAA Sales Management, NAA Business Development, in addition to the Pre-sales and Partner groups that support NAA.

  • a technical team manager and 6 APEX developers. You will help them build APEX applications and be driving requirements for automating Reporting as a Shared Service.

  • a functional team manager and 4 Bangalore-based Analysts. We will be able to delegate labor intensive tasks to this team for requirements that are identified as "unable to automate" or those that are "one off" requests.

  • a senior manager who is responsible for Sales Operations policy and territory definition and integrity. This is a parallel shared services group that will have centralized analysts that will report on and maintain territory alignment.

Experience with OBIEE, SI, DV, SQL is a plus

Experience with Excel and PowerPoint is required
