Oracle Customer Marketing Reference Manager for Oracle Database in East Brunswick, New Jersey

Development and implementation of business plans, marketing strategy, and forecasts for a product/service or vertical market.

As a product analyst you will participate in every stage of the product life cycle to ensure product meets the needs of users. Drive the implementation of programs in support of the marketing strategy, business plans, and forecasts for assigned product lines. Maintains current status of customer specifications for existing and future products. Identify, evaluate, and recommend marketing opportunities in support of product line objectives. Drive product functionality delivering high quality product documentation. Lead products through scheduled release assisting others to manage commitments and resources. Measure and report progress and review deliverables.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Demonstrated product/project management experience. Customer Marketing Reference Manager for Oracle Database

Oracle Cloud Business Group is seeking a dynamic team-player to help showcase compelling stories of change and innovation with our newest products and our most exciting customers.

This role will be aligned to Oracle Database and Oracle s license software including Enterprise Manager, WebLogic, SOA Suite and more)

This Reference Manager will work through an extended global team to identify, develop, and promote customer success stories. In addition to expertise in data management, this role requires a highly motivated, organized individual with a good eye and a good ear for story, who can curate a community of diverse customers across a wide range of industries and from organizations large and small. These customer advocates are invited to participate in a range of co-marketing activities that highlight their successes, such as advertising, print and digital storytelling, videos and in-person events, as well as involvement in key networking opportunities.

The Customer Reference Manager works closely with Oracle's various content and event teams and global customer references team to execute on this. Coordinating efforts across a global team, and working closely with a variety of internal stakeholders, this individual will also be responsible for identifying gaps versus goals and to track and report on overall progress against objectives to those stakeholders. Prior experience in Customer Marketing, Referencing, PR, or Communications is a plus.

The ideal candidate will possess both a business background that enables to engage at the CXO level as well as a sales background that allows to easily interact with enterprise customers and sales/field reps. He/she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to manage customer engagements strategies at a worldwide level.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements:

  • Define, build and execute a detailed plan that delivers a steady stream of customer success stories and references to support awareness, demand generation and sales cycles. The success of this role means higher customer satisfaction, retention and expansion of Oracle business.

  • Manage relationship with customer stakeholders to ensure they are leveraging our solution to achieve maximum business value. Acquire a deep knowledge of our customer base, existing customer story content, mine and use that content to increase its effectiveness, and manage that content to increase usability and visibility.

  • Understand and support the needs of internal and external stakeholders, and communicate their needs.

  • Match sales reference requests to appropriate references in a consultative model. Manage relationship with accounts to speak to press and analysts, take sales reference calls, and participate in marketing activities (case studies, awards, videos, reference forums, speaking opportunities) Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment.

  • Minimum 5 years related experience in a business, marketing, or sales role

  • Moderate technical and strategic understanding of Technology, Applications, and Industry solutions being marketed. Sales and Marketing experience in the IT industry. E-business Internet practical know-how.
