Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

What is Cloud@Customer?

Cloud@Customer(OCC) is a business unit within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) focused ondelivering and operating a set of cloud services that are hosted in the customer sdata center. As a key part of the OracleCloud strategy, we recognize that for many enterprises the need exists formaking some of our premiere services, such as Exadata, available on-premiseswhere their workloads reside. We embracethe concept of meeting the customer where they are in order to provide theseservices both on-premises as well as in our public cloud.

Cloud@Customer(OCC) is a cloud solution stack running on dedicated hardware that is installedand operated by Oracle and licensed to the customer as cloud services, similarto our public cloud offerings. The OCCsolution we are providing currently is based on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Classic, with control plane and cloud portals that provide the means forcustomers to provision services similar to how they would do it in our publiccloud.

What is Cloud Lifecycle Tooling Development?

Thecloud lifecycle tooling development team is responsible for taking thecollection of microservices and first-class cloud services that comprise theCompute Infrastructure, storage services, control plane, customer portals andfeatured services such as DBaaS and Exadata and building the tooling thatautomates install, upgrade and patching possible. The team also has responsibility for the setof tools that provide the means for managing the cloud solution through itslifecycle (initial deployment, start, stop, restart, discovery, credentialmanagement, backup/restore, etc.). Thisarea of technology is referred to as Ops as code and the skill set is in veryhigh demand throughout the industry due to the advent of cloud technology, composableinfrastructures and hyper-scalability.
