Manage people for product development programs or projects focused on the delivery of a product through the design process, and into a finished state for external customers.

Manage people for product development programs or projects involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a product or computer-based system through the design process, and into a finished state for external customers. Plan and direct resource schedules as well as project budgets. Monitor the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with customer on technical matters. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the product/program/project on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction. Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate specifications. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development and product management. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically four years of project management, product design or related experience needed.

Title: Sr. Manager, Cloud Adoption and Service Management

Responsibilities:

  • Provide thought leadership for managing transformation to cloud technologies and communicate cloud feature adoption through strategic roadmaps.

  • Create a framework for onboarding and launch a partnership program with the cloud service provider that includes technology and architecture collaboration, requirement setting, and support for early adopter teams.

  • Work with architects to develop and promote adoption of large-scale cloud services, architecture and standards.

  • Work with project managers to provide support for cloud services onboarding projects throughout the project life cycle.

  • Provide support services and training to product development teams to aid their consumption of cloud services and ensure adherence to best practices and standards.

  • Establish learning program for cloud transformation, including development of training modules for infrastructure and DevOps teams.

  • Create and continuously improve new and streamlined management processes based on the new practices and patterns needed for cloud-based services delivery.

  • Manage team that assists development groups in the accelerated adoption of cloud technologies and associated CI/CD tools and methodologies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 7 years of experience in leading/managing enterprise level IT projects.

  • 3 years of experience in leading/managing cloud-based technologies (PaaS, IaaS, Cloud Infrastructure Services).

  • Experience leading transformation and transition of IT organizations from classic data center to open cloud service.

  • Experience with solving issues facing large scale server environments

  • Experience in establishing architecture and best practices in a private cloud environment or AWS and the like.

  • Experience in cloud service or system monitoring and Ops support services.

  • Ability to work with local and global staff.

  • Ability to manage through strategies, rather than with well-defined tasks.

  • Strong technical background in infrastructure, with previous experience as a high performing individual contributor.

  • Bachelor s degree required. Master degree preferred. Degree in Engineering or Business Management preferred.
