Eaton Corporation Manager, Business Development in Eden Prairie, Minnesota

Eaton’s Hydraulics Group has an immediate opening for a Business Development Manager in Eden Prairie, MN.

  • You will evaluate business development opportunities to drive growth for our Hydraulics business and coordinate competitive assessments and the development of executive presentations.

  • You will be responsible for strategic planning activities, overseeing competitive analysis, acquiring pipeline development, analyzing the market for trends, managing alliance projects, preparing monthly and quarterly senior management presentations in addition to Board of Directors presentations, and complete other special projects

  • You will analyze market drivers, competitors and value propositions to develop forward-looking insights to efficiently drive management decisions and improve financial results

  • You will analyze financial reports, press releases and other competitive intelligence documents to build a strong internal capability for competitive assessment and market intelligence while also functioning as liaison between divisional operations and support personnel

  • You will develop and nurture collaborative relationships with executives and other leaders responsible for business development


Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Requires five (5) years of experience in business development, product management, marketing, finance, or strategic planning. Experience must include:

  • Five (5) years of experience involving (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • Developing advanced excel skills to create pivot tables, write Macros, model practical problems and analyze massive amounts of data for solutions.

  • Developing advanced PowerPoint skills to create compelling presentations with layout and design, visualization, graphs and charts, image manipulation, interactivity, multimedia and animation.

  • Four (4) years of experience involving (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • Analyzing complex financial data and developing strategic solutions for profit planning and budgets;

  • One (1) year of experience involving (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • Presenting technical financial data to senior leadership teams;

Working in complex financial systems to generate and manipulate reports;
