Oracle Business Development Director - Sales in Edison, New Jersey
Manages a team that is responsible for identifying relevant new business opportunities and designing "go-to-market" plans to deliver measurable and significant revenues. Consistently meets with potential customers and current customers to build pipeline.
Manages, through other managers, a team of business development representatives for a territory/region. The team is actively and frequently customer facing, providing the value proposition to business or org leaders, qualifying opportunities, and selling the value of the oracle solution. Provides operations management of lead qualification functions. Contributes to strategic and tactical planning for the division. Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of staff. Participates in the recruiting process and makes hiring decisions. Manages budget.
Experience qualifying prospects and customers; understanding of the sales cycle process. Strong leadership skills. Strong Oracle product knowledge. BA/BS preferred. Experience managing staff. Assist in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interact across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Able to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations important.

The Key Account Business Development Director is a leadership role responsible for the execution of sales programs across the largest accounts in Oracle. You will serve as the manager to highly skilled staff who will drive demand generation, enablement, and sales strategy across Oracle s entire product portfolio. The role requires experience in highly complex, matrix sales organizations. The leader of the group will work directly with the Key Account sales leadership to identify sales opportunities or pipeline deficiencies. The role will require a strategic thinker capable of measuring the progress of programs towards the overall sales results. Strong communication and collaboration skills are necessary as this role interfaces several internal and external stakeholders. Within the company, your team will work with marketing managers to drive marketing messages to right staff within target accounts. Externally, you will need to work with partners and integrators whole will help drive consultative sales. The role offers significant career growth as Oracle s products and portfolio is rapidly increasing. Qualified individuals should have 17 years of experience with a blend of sales, marketing and business operations. Candidates should have a BS/BA and Masters or MBA is highly preferred.
