If you are driven and motivated to become part of a dynamic team, we have an opening for a Senior Human Resources Generalist in Edmonton, AB . Reporting to the Human Resources Manager , you will be responsible for leading our human resources business processes for our Northern Alberta business operations.
Your responsibilities may include:
Lead human resources business processes for a complex organization with multiple functions.
The improvement, deployment and effectiveness of a broad range of Human Resources processes across the business or functional organization.
Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and adherence with human resources policies and processes.
Partner with managers and employees to resolve issues and concerns.
Provide staffing and recruiting support, evaluates structure and headcount forecasting, and other people data analysis; implement tactics to select and maintain a diverse workforce.
Resolve conflicts and provide coaching and counseling on human resources matters for employees.
Lead performance management activities, including employee development planning.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of workforce information in human resources information systems.
Facilitate compensation process and benefits administration by partnering with shared services and corporate human resources; develop and implement workforce compensation recommendations.
Conduct and document investigations for business areas or corporate functional areas.
Manage administration of and adherence to human resources policies and procedures; advise organizational and functional leadership on compliance with key legislative requirements.
Lead training needs assessments and participate in training activities and special projects.
Participate or lead initiatives to improve the overall effectiveness of human resources processes.
Coach and mentor less experienced team members.
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
CPHR (Certified Human Resources Professional) designation in progress or completed preferred.
Preference for a Human Resources related Post-Secondary education (High School Diploma required).
Valid passport required for travel to the United States.
3 years’ experience in a Human Resources function with a large, complex organization.
Proven experience working in a Collective Bargaining environment.

Specific Tickets / Licenses are checked as required, and Drivers Abstracts are required for any position where driving is part of the job.
