Job Description

  • Facilitate daily maintenance, operations, and engineering work request meeting, including a review of the facility status reporting.

  • Develop work packs that include work scopes, provide instructions, tools, and parts for the job to facilitate efficient, value added work.

  • Performs hazard assessment of work and identifies appropriate mitigation.

  • Estimates hours for tasks and develop costs for jobs, based on estimates.

  • Identify where vendors are required and schedule accordingly to optimize contract resources.

  • Produce a frozen weekly schedule for the following week's work

  • Manage the schedule throughout the day.

  • Occasional craft supervision required in this role.

  • Manage 90 day work backlog.

  • Continuously improve the job estimates by receiving feedback from maintenance supervisor, vendors, operators, operations supervisors etc.

  • Assist in the planning of any urgent or emergency work that arises during the week.

  • Create, use and maintain a technical library of information for detailed work packs.

  • Work closely with Engineers & Project Planner supporting/reviewing Management of Change.

  • Support & participate in daily work confirmation meeting.

  • Work closely with the Operations/Maintenance Supervisors, Project Planner, Pressure Equipment Inspector, Field Op Leads, Craft Specialists and other Technical support assigned to the production area they support.

  • Interact closely with both the maintenance and production teams for clear direction.

  • Distance between Office and Fields, time in Camp/Hotel will occasionally be required.


  • Strong leadership skills

  • Work well in a Team environment

  • Experience in Oil and Gas as a Planner will be an asset

  • Operations and Maintenance backgrounds would be an asset

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Maintenance Management Philosophies (e.g. Planning / Scheduling / Preventative/Predictive Maintenance / Task Skill Requirements, Project Planning, Change Management Processes, Business Unit Structure, Equipment Hierarchy Knowledge

  • Ability to develop or possessing advanced SAP skills

  • Strong organizational and effective time management skills. Flexibility in managing changing priorities and able to work efficiently with minimum supervision

  • Strong communication skills

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Strong desktop computer skills (Excel, MS Word, Outlook)

  • Capable to balance multiple tasks and requests to meet deadlines
