The Outpatient Services Coordinator (RN) is responsible for supervision and /or coordination of all staff assigned to his/her team and the coordination/ communication of information relevant to the patient care process in the Perioperative Service setting, which includes Pre-Assessment, Day of Surgery. The Outpatient Services Coordinator (RN) provides feedback to the Nurse Director/Manager regarding patient care, budgetary, and strategic planning opportunities for improvement. The Outpatient Services Coordinator (RN) ensures that patients are received, prioritized, assigned and prepared for procedure/surgery in a safe and expedient manner. The Outpatient Services Coordinator (RN) collaborates and coordinates efforts of the Outpatient Surgery Staff to meet the needs of the surgical schedule, surgeons, anesthesia providers, patients and staff needs.


    • Licensure that allows the practice of professional nursing in the State of Texas.

    • BCLS

    • ACLS upon hire or within two years of hire.


    • 3-5 years nursing experience.

    • Effective oral and written communication skills.

    • Ability to move in excess of 100 pounds with assistance from other staff.

    • Ability to manage a team and work within a team to ensure quality patient care.

    • Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills.

    • Critical thinking skills and ability to prioritize needs continuously.

    • Basic computer skills needed.


    • Specialty certification/Training as appropriate

    • Able to recognize and treat dysrhythmias.

    • Prefer One-year prior Charge Nurse experience; Perioperative setting preferred.
