Job Description:

We currently have a Warehouse and Logistics Manager position available at our facility in Virginia. The Elkton campus is located in the Shenandoah Valley along the Shenandoah River and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The facility is a short distance from major state universities: University of Virginia and James Madison University. The Elkton Plant offers pharmaceutical manufacturing opportunities in the following areas: Organic Synthesis, Fermentation, Bulk Sterile Product Manufacturing, Vaccine Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical Formulation and Sterile Product Finishing. We are seeking a proven leader to supervise bargaining unit employees engaged full-time in all aspects of material handling including receipt/import, storage, transport, and shipping/export of materials.


  • Provide leadership, coaching and development for receiving coordination group and assume accountability for performance of logistics processes.

  • Ensure safe and compliant adherence with GMPs and all other regulatory requirements and standard business processes in receiving, intra-site movements, and shipping operations.

  • Develop and disseminate SAP expertise in receiving, material handling and shipping processes.

  • Represent and support Global Logistics in internal and external audits.

  • Collaborate closely with site and above-site customers and stakeholders to ensure success in all value streams.

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree required - OR - Associate degree and Ten (10) years of experience in a GMP, Military or Manufacturing warehouse and/or Logistics role.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • (5) years of experience in a GMP, Military or Manufacturing warehouse and/or Logistics role.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Logistics supervisory/coaching experience

  • Lean Six Sigma certification

  • Experience in OSHA and DOT regulations

  • Experience in SAP

  • Experience in Material Handling

  • Experience in Distribution and Logistics
